Haiti Relief - UPDATE

We would like to take a minute to update you all on the recent happening's of Emmanuel House, the emergency children's home EWF established in Haiti.

Emmanuel's Wish Foundation sent two board members to Haiti at the end of February to assess the home and make long term plans for the children, the home and Emmanuel's Wish Foundation. Lindsay Eisses and Lorraine McKoy made the journey and assessment and were quite surprised at what they found.

As part of their duties, LIndsay and Lorraine interviewed each child in the home and recorded the details. It was a surprise to find that every child (except one) still had family members alive and well.

Our board members went to the UN and spoke to them at length. Two meetings later it was decided by the United Nations that they would assist our plan to return the children to their homes and parents.

So after one month of emergency care, the children at Emmanuel House have been reunited with their families!
The one and only truly orphaned child that we were caring for, is now being cared for by an auntie.

We are pleased that the children could return to their families and we ask that you would join us in prayer for these people. We are praying that the children would flourish and grow into the next generation of leaders for Haiti. We pray that Haiti would recover from the negative effects of the earthquake which they endured. We also pray that the container which we have sent will be put to the best use possible, to assist earthquake victims in Port Au Prince.
